USD’s Lazarevic Claims First #SummitWTN Player of the Week Honor

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Jana Lazarevic was named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance through Jan. 22. The honor marks the initial weekly award of the season.

  • Earned first career Player of the Week award
  • Debuted with a pair of straight-set No. 1 singles victories over Seattle and Portland
  • Defeated SU's Michelle Liu (7-6, 6-2) and Portland's Brianna Thompson (3 and 4)
  • Teamed for a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Seattle duo
  • Helped team start season with victories in first two matches
