Omaha’s Wilson Named #SummitWTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha's Janelle Wilson was named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance April 3-9.

  • Garnered her first career Player of the Week honor
  • Won both her singles and doubles matches to help lead Omaha to a 4-3 win over South Dakota
  • Combined for a 7-6 win at No. 1 doubles to help clinch point against USD
  • With team down 3-1, defeated USD's Barbora Kollarova (7-6, 6-3) at No. 2 singles
  • Improved her league record to a perfect 3-0 in both singles and doubles
  • Owns a 12-4 singles record and 12-6 doubles mark this season

Through 35 years of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of nearly 100,000 at eight institutions, including three located in top 60 U.S. metro populations and two land-grant universities.
