SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –Omaha freshman Sydney Case and North Dakota freshman Taliyah Flores received this week's Summit League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, respectively.
Case's offense guided the Mavericks to remain undefeated in league play this past weekend as they defeated South Dakota 3-1 and Oral Roberts 3-0. She helped the team to a .229 hitting percentage on the weekend. Case ended the weekend with 82 assists (11.71 assists per set), four service aces and 24 digs (3.43 digs per set).
Flores led the defensive effort for the Fighting Hawks in a week of full of competition, including a tough 3-0 loss to undefeated and sixth-ranked Pittsburgh and a split in league play. She tallied 66 digs for a 6.60 digs per set average overall. In league action, Flores recorded 59 of her 66 overall digs, which earned her an impressive 8.43 digs per set average.

- Finished with a career-high 38 digs in the 3-1 victory over NDSU and followed up with 21 digs against South Dakota
- Leads the league in total digs (459) and sits 7th in the national rankings
