SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –A total of six Summit League volleyball student-athletes have been selected to the 2018 Academic All-League team as voted on by a panel of Faculty Athletic Representatives and Sports Information Directors from the league's member institutions. Student-athletes were chosen for the honor based on their academic and athletic performances this past season. The 2018 Summit League tournament champion South Dakota and Purdue Fort Wayne led the way with two total selections.
Purdue Fort Wayne's Madison Jaqua received the accolade for the second-straight season, while teammate Elizabeth Britner received her first-career honor. The Coyotes were represented by the 2018 Defensive Player of the Year Anne Rasmussen and teammate Madison Jurgens. Rounding out the selections were Oral Roberts' Tori Roe and Omaha's Anna Blaschko.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
