ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Rachel King garnered Summit League Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors following her performance during the Oct. 13-14 weekend.

- Collected her first Athlete of the Week honor this season and third of her career
- Posted league's fastest 8k time this season (20:55.9), finishing just six seconds off personal best recorded at 2016 NCAA Regional
- Finished among the top-quarter (t-71st overall) of the Pre-National Meet field in Louisville featuring 297 runners and nine top-25 nationally-ranked teams
