ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Chase Cayo earned The Summit League's Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolade for the second time this season following his performance during the Oct. 13-14 weekend.

- Garnered his second career Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor, both coming this season
- Posted a league-best 8k time of 24:13.6 at the Pre-National meet in Louisville
- Finished 67th in a field that included 292 runners and eight top-30 nationally-ranked teams
- Time marked a new personal best by over a minute
- Helped SDSU finish ahead of a pair of regionally-ranked teams
