Western Illinois Advances in #SummitUniMadness

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Western Illinois softball uniform edged North Dakota State's track and field uniform in fan voting to advance in the initial matchup of The Summit League's Uni Madness contest. The Fighting Leathernecks received 54.41 percent of the vote compared to 45.59 percent for the Bison.

Next week's matchup features another softball vs. track and field vote as No. 2 seed Omaha (softball) meets No. 7 seed Oral Roberts (track and field).

Summit League Uni Madness is a bracketed competition to determine the league's "hottest" summer look. Each league member nominated four uniforms with the one receiving the highest vote in the school voting round advancing as that institution's representative in the final field.
