#TheSummitLeague Launches ESPN Portal Site

ELMHURST, Ill. – As part of its expanding national reach, The Summit League launched an ESPN portal webpage that provides a one-stop location for all ESPN3 live game feeds featuring league institutions. The page is found at www.thesummitleague.org/espn.

With six championships and more than 50 league basketball games, the site provides a centralized dashboard where Summit League fans can easily access their teams live on ESPN3. The webpage features the upcoming broadcast schedule and access to live events for games featuring Summit League teams enabling a streamlined search for ESPN3 league content. Games are available live and on an archived basis.

In addition to the previously announced schedule of basketball telecasts on ESPN networks, the ESPN3 broadcast schedule will continuously update with additional games throughout the season. Viewers are encouraged to check the webpage frequently to find upcoming games as the schedule continues to populate.

Beginning with the Nov. 8, Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship and the Men’s Soccer Championship one week later on Nov. 15, up to six league championships will be contested live on ESPN3. The entire men’s and women’s basketball tournaments will be available in March. The league softball championship and baseball tournament are also scheduled to air on ESPN3 in May.

ESPN3 is ESPN's live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually.  It is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  The network is currently available to 95 million homes at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.  The network is also available at no cost to approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers, smartphones and tablets connected to on-campus educational and on-base military broadband and Wi-Fi networks.

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of over 120,000 at nine institutions, including four located in top 60 U.S. metro populations and two land-grant universities. Member institutions include: Denver (University of Denver), Fort Wayne (Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne), IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis), North Dakota State University, Omaha (University of Nebraska Omaha), Oral Roberts University, South Dakota (University of South Dakota), South Dakota State University and Western Illinois University.
