North Dakota State 57, Duquesne 43
PITTSBURGH (AP) - TrayVonn Wright scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead North Dakota State past Duquesne 57-43 Tuesday night.

North Dakota State (4-1) scored the game's first nine points and opened on a 26-10 run.

Duquesne (1-3) shot just 24 percent (6 for 24) from the field in the first half, compared to the Bison shooting 41.9 percent (13 for 31). North Dakota led at halftime 34-19.

Andre Marhold scored the first five points for Duquesne to start the second half, cutting the deficit to 10, 34-24, but North Dakota State blew open the game scoring 15 straight points-nine of those points coming from Wright- to push the lead to 49-24.


Marshall Bjorklund scored 12 points, and Taylor Braun finished with 11 points and six assist for the Bison.

The Dukes failed to have a player score in double digits. Marhold led Duquesne with 9 points.

Oakland 71, Texas Southern 69
HOUSTON ( - Travis Bader scored a game-high 23 points and drilled a 3-pointer with 42 seconds left to give Oakland the lead for good as the Golden Grizzlies (2-3) defeated Texas Southern (1-4), 71-69, on Tuesday night at the Health and Physical Education Center. Bader went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc.

Corey Petros added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies. Drew Valentine finished with eight points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The Golden Grizzlies trailed through the midway point of the first half until a 16-3 run gave them the lead and OU outscored the Tigers 18-6 over the final 7:27 of the first half and led 35-30.

That five-point lead would be the most for the Grizzlies in the game. There were eight lead changes in the second half and four ties as TSU led by four, 69-65, with 2:21 left in the game. Lloyd Neely II would score a layup on a big offensive rebound and Bader would drill a three to give Oakland back the lead, 70-69, with just 42 seconds left in the game.

Ryan Bass got a big steal on the other end and was quickly fouled with 16 second remaining. He split the free throws to give the Golden Grizzlies a two-point edge. Oakland would once again foil the Tigers' attempt to tie the game with a turnover and hold on for the 71-69 victory.

Fort Wayne 92, Judson 22
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Herbert Graham scored 17 points and five rebounds to lead IPFW in a 92-22 rout of Judson of Illinois on Tuesday night.

Graham was 3 of 4 from 3-point range. Joe Reed scored 14 points and was 5 of 5 from the field. Luis Jacobo added 13 points. Isaiah McCray had a team-high eight rebounds for the Mastodons (3-3).

At halftime, the Mastodons led 40-11.

The Mastodons shot 60 percent from the field. With the win, IPFW snapped a two-game losing skid and set a school record for few fewest points allowed in a single game, says the school's athletic department.

The Eagles (2-6) shot 17 percent from the field.

Luke Labedzki and Nick Morgan each scored 6 points for the Eagles. Anthony Ahlers had five rebounds.

Lamar 86, IUPUI 82
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Donley Minor scored 22 points to lead five other Lamar teammates in double-figures and Donnell Minton hit clutch, late free throws as the Cardinals edged IUPUI 86-82 Tuesday in an NIT Season Tip-Off consolation game.

All five Lamar starters finished in double figures, Stan Brown scoring 12 points and Rhon Mitchell, Amos Wilson and Minton getting 10 apiece. Keilan Blanks came off the bench for Lamar (1-4) to add 12.

IUPUI (2-4), behind 27 points from center Michael Patton and 20 from guard John Hart, led 39-37 at halftime and, after a 7-0 run, 70-61 with 5:59 remaining. But Lamar went on a 15-4 run to lead 76-74 on consecutive layups by Minor.

With the Cardinals leading 80-77 with 0:32 remaining, Minton went to the line three straight times and sank six straight free throws.

For IUPUI, Patton was 11 of 14 from the floor, and Hart 8 of 11.
