Denver’s Udofia Named Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Chris Udofia was named as The Summit League's Men's Basketball Player of the Week following his performance Dec. 2-8.

Udofia received his first Summit League Player of the Week award after averaging 16 points 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 blocks per game. In an overtime win over Southern, he recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds while adding five assists, four blocked shots and two steals in the one-point victory. Udofia scored a game-high 21 points and added five rebounds, three blocks and two assists in a one-point overtime loss at Mercer. In that contest, Udofia became Denver's all-time blocked shots leader with the 211th of his career. He also hit a free throw that sent the game into overtime and converted a key three-point play that tied the game with 2:50 remaining in the extra session.
