BOSTON (gobison.com) – North Dakota State senior forward Marshall Bjorklund has been named the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week for his performances in games at Notre Dame and Ohio State last week.
The 6-8 senior from Arlington, Minn., had 26 points, five rebounds and four assists in NDSU's upset win at Notre Dame on Dec. 11, going 11-for-14 from the field. He was also 5-for-10 from the floor at No. 2-ranked Ohio State on Dec. 14, finishing with 12 points.
Bjorklund followed up with 16 points and a season-high nine rebounds in Monday's 85-66 victory over Delaware.
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I college basketball.
