Fort Wayne 74, SIU Edwardsville 71
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) Isaiah McCray, who scored a career-high 23 points and had a career-best 12 rebounds, had a dunk that started IPFW on a second-half run that led the Mastodons to a 74-71 win over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Monday night.

Trailing 59-55 with 7:26 left McCray started a 12-2 run that led to a 67-61 lead with 1:42 remaining.

Mo Evans, Joe Edwards and McCray made seven free throws in the final 47 seconds to secure the victory.

IPFW (2-0) led 37-32 at the half, but SIU-Edwardsville (1-1) charged back to lead 55-47 following a Kris Davis' jump shot and 3-pointer midway of the second half.

Edwards had 14 points and Steve Forbes added 12 for IPFW.

Donivine Stewart made 10 of 25 field goal attempts to total 24 points. Davis finished with 12 points and Keaton Jackson added 10.

Illinois-Chicago 67, Western Illinois 64
CHICAGO (AP) — D'Juan Miller converted a pair of free throws with :13 left to preserve Illinois-Chicago's 67-64 win over Western Michigan Monday night.

Down by nine with under three minutes to play, the Leathernecks (0-2) reeled off a 10-2 run to make it a one-point game with :20 left, 65-64. Jamie Batish missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer to tie.

Jake Wiegand scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Chicago (1-1). Paris Burns added 13 points for the Flames, who converted 24 of 29 attempts from the free throw line.

J.C. Fuller came off the Western Illinois bench to score 14 points, the only Leatherneck to reach double figures.

Western Illinois was 24 of 62 (38.7 percent) from the floor and 9 of 27 from three-point range (33.3 percent), but got to the free throw line for just 10 attempts.

Idaho 82, South Dakota State 77
MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Mike Scott scored 23 points and Bira Seck added 13 points and 12 rebounds to help Idaho beat South Dakota State 82-77 on Monday night.

Idaho (2-0) trailed 74-75 when Scott found Perrion Callandret for a 3-pointer with 56 seconds left.

South Dakota State's Skyler Flatten missed a 3 on the other end but, after grabbing the offensive rebound, Cody Larson missed a layup before Scott hit a 3-pointer coming out of a timeout to make it 80-75 with 10 seconds left.

Deondre Parks got a quick layup 2 seconds later and immediately fouled Scott, who hit a pair of free throws and closed the scoring at 82-77 with 6 seconds left.

Parks and Jake Bittle scored 18 apiece for South Dakota State (0-2). Larson finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Flatten scored 13.

Idaho made 8 of 15 from behind the arc and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds.

Iowa 87, North Dakota State 56
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Gabe Olaseni had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Iowa rolled to an 87-56 win over North Dakota State on Monday night.

Jarrod Uthoff added 12 points for the Hawkeyes (2-0).

Lawrence Alexander scored 21 points on 6 of 10 3-point shooting to lead the Bison (0-2).

The Hawkeyes used a 27-2 run in the middle of the game to pull away from North Dakota State.

The Bison shot only 26.9 percent from the floor, including a six-minute scoreless stretch to open the second half.

Iowa's Adam Woodbury had 10 points and tied a career high with 11 rebounds.

Anthony Clemmons scored 11 points. Aaron White added 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Olaseni came off the bench to shoot 4 of 6 from the field and 6 of 8 from the foul line. He also blocked two shots.

Clemmons hit a career-best three 3-pointers against North Dakota State. The junior is 5 of 6 from 3 in two games this year — one shy from his total all of last season.

The Hawkeyes committed 18 turnovers, but shot 54 percent from the field and made 18 of 20 free throws.

North Dakota starters Carlin Dupree, Kory Brown and A.J. Jackson combined to make 4 of 29 field goals.
