South Dakota’s Bos Named #SummitMBB Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Brandon Bos earned The Summit League's Player of the Week award following his performance Nov. 24-30.

Bos earned his first career Player of the Week honor after averaging 21.5 points per game in a pair of South Dakota victories. In a comeback road win at CSU Bakersfield, Bos scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as the Coyotes erased a 15-point, second-half deficit. He went 8-of-10 from the free throw line and added five rebounds, two assists and one steal in the victory. Earlier in the week, Bos scored 22 points in 26 minutes in the USD win over Wayne State. He went 13-of-15 (.867) from the line during the week.

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features men's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois. Over the past five seasons (2010-14), The Summit League owns the nation's highest RPI gain (+9). In 2013-14, The Summit League had three teams advance in national postseason tournaments, highlighted by an NCAA Tournament Round of 64 victory, recorded its third consecutive top-20 RPI finish, achieved an all-time high USA Today Sagarin rating, and saw a record 10 former players on NBA and D-League rosters.
