Fort Wayne to Play Evansville in Postseason Tournament

FORT WAYNE, Ind. ( - The IPFW men's basketball team has drawn the Evansville Aces for the first round of the 2015 Tournament, the second time in as many years that the Mastodons have earned a place in the postseason tournament.

The game will be played on Wednesday evening at the Ford Center with an 8 p.m. ET tip-off.

Evansville of the Missouri Valley Conference, has played three common opponents to IPFW, Miami (Ohio), IUPUI, and Illinois State. The Aces finished the season with a 19-12 overall record, and come into the tournament riding a four-game losing skid, including back-to-back losses to eventual MVC Tournament runner-up Illinois State. Evansville boasts wins over 2015 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Belmont and Northern Iowa.

Individually Evansville is led by D.J. Balentine, who averaged 18.9 points per game while dishing out a team-best 98 assists, as Egidiju Mockevicius averaged 12.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, and blocked 65 shots in 29 games during the season.

Tickets are $15 for all seats while children under the age of 17 are just $5. Beginning on Monday at 8:30 a.m., all seats will be available for purchase.
