SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State sophomore Matt Dentlinger and Denver senior Ade Murkey shared the latest #SummitMBB weekly award, league officials announced Monday. The weekly awards are the first for both players.

Dentlinger was instrumental in a pair of comeback victories for the Jackrabbits, who stayed atop the league standings at 11-2, while Murkey put together the best scoring week by a league player this season.

The Jackrabbits trailed at halftime to both Denver and Purdue Fort Wayne, but Dentlinger helped lead the rally in both wins. Against the Pioneers, Dentlinger went 8-for-15 from the field, scored 22 points and added 11 rebounds. Thirteen of those points and seven of those boards came after halftime.

Against the Mastodons, SDSU trailed by 10 at the break, but Dentlinger scored 12 second-half points, going 5-for-5 from the field to finish the game making all eight of his field goal attempts. He also blocked a career-high five shots and added 10 rebounds to register back-to-back double-doubles for the first time in his career.

Murkey erupted for a career-high 42 points on 15-of-27 shooting against the Jackrabbits on Friday. The 42 points were the most by a Summit League player in a game this season and set a Denver Division I single-game scoring record as well.

He also added 11 rebounds to notch his third double-double of the season. Murkey went 5-for-7 from beyond the arc against the Jacks and also made all seven of his free throws.

In Sunday's loss at Omaha, Murkey continued his torrid scoring stretch, going for 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the floor. He went 3-for-4 from the 3-point range and also added eight rebounds against the Mavericks. The Minneapolis native finished the week 8-for-11 from 3-point range 25-for-45 from the floor (55.6).
