WIU's Luke Earns #SummitWBB Player of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois' Ashley Luke was named The Summit League Player of the Week for her performances Jan. 12-18.

Luke collects her fourth Player of the Week award this season and 10th honor in her career after leading Western Illinois last week. In Thursday's win at Denver, the junior forward scored 20 points with 16 rebounds and five assists. She followed that performance with a 30-point, 12-rebound, three-steal contest at Oral Roberts on Saturday. For the week, Luke averaged 25 points, 14 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals per game. She shot 46 percent (19-of-41) from the field and 80 percent (12-of-15) at the free throw line, while 18 of her 28 total rebounds on the week were offensive. Luke has scored in double figures in 55 consecutive games and has tallied five-straight double-doubles.

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features women's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
