TULSA, Okla. (oruathletics.com) -- The Oral Roberts University women's basketball team held off a gritty Omaha squad Saturday leading from start to finish for a 74-53 Summit League victory.
The Golden Eagles shot over 50 percent from the field for the second time in three games as they also extended their winning streak to three games. More importantly ORU improved to 4-3 in Summit League play and 10-10 on the season.
A balanced scoring attack from ORU was led by redshirt-senior Vicky McIntyre who posted her 14th double-double of the season. McIntyre led all players with 18 points and 10 rebounds while also adding five blocks.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (denverpioneers.com) -- On the strength of 19 second-half points from senior Jordan Johnston Denver earned a hard-fought victory over the IPFW on Saturday afternoon at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center in Fort Wayne. Denver (7-14, 4-3 Summit) defeated IPFW (7-13, 1-6 Summit) 82-75.
Junior guard Paige Bradley posted her first double-double of the season with 11 points, all in the second half, and dished out a career-high 14 assists. Johnston entered halftime with just two points, but caught fire in the second half pouring in 19 points, including four 3-pointers and finished the game with a team-high 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
Sophomore forward Jesse Spittel put up a career-high 14 points, on a perfect 7-for-7 shooting performance from the field. Spittel also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Senior Morgan Van Riper-Rose netted 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to go along with five rebounds and three assists.

MACOMB, Ill. (goleathernecks.com) -- The Western Illinois women's basketball team was back in action Saturday (Jan. 24) afternoon, as the team played host to North Dakota State in Summit League action. Sophie Reichelt's career day led the way as the Leathernecks knocked off the Bison by an 88-66 decision. Western improves to 4-3 in league play, and 12-8 overall, with the 22-point decision. NDSU, who was second in the league prior to the game, falls to 9-11 (5-3)
Reichelt led all scorers with 24 points, the second-highest scoring output from Reichelt this year. The Mill Creek, Washington, native brought in a career-high 18 rebounds and swatted away a career-best five shots. Ashley Luke recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds and extended her double figure streak to 56 consecutive games.

INDIANAPOLIS (iupuijags.com) -- A 14-0 run midway through the second half took a three-point game and put it out of reach as the IUPUI women's basketball team defeated Summit League leader South Dakota, 68-43, Saturday evening at The Jungle.
IUPUI took control late in the first half only to have the Coyotes claw back within three in the second half before a double-digit run sealed the deal. The win improved the Jaguars to 9-11 overall and 4-3 in the league, while South Dakota fell to 15-5 overall and 5-2 in the conference.
