South Dakota’s Lamb secures weekly award

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota guard Chloe Lamb notched her first career Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the week honor, league officials announced Monday. Lamb averaged 18.5 ppg while shooting 63.6 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from beyond the arc en route to help South Dakota clinch the regular season title.

In the Coyotes' 86-57 win over North Dakota State, Lamb tallied 15 points going 5-for-9 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the 3-point line. She also grabbed two rebounds, dished out an assist and tallied two steals to complete the season sweep over the Bison. 

The Onida, S.D., native finished the week leading South Dakota in its 77-67 victory over in-state rival South Dakota State with 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting. Lamb drained four 3-pointers during the game while adding two rebounds, two assists and two steals to help USD take the regular season title outright.
