ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Chase Cayo earned The Summit League's Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolade for his performance during the Sept. 22-23 weekend.

- Garnered his first career Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor
- Placed 12th of out 141 finishers at the Roy Griak Invitational against a field that included three nationally-ranked teams and two others receiving votes
- Recorded a time of 25:32.0, his personal-best at the meet
- Helped South Dakota State finish eighth out of 14 competing teams
